This conference will provide participants with cutting-edge knowledge of the application of the CENAPS Model of Recovery, which uses a multidisciplinary team with special skills for communication and cooperation. The Model integrates the diagnosis and treatment of both chemical dependency and criminal personality traits into a powerful clinical system.

The CRIMINAL JUSTICE/ADDICTION WORKGROUP presents:
Understanding the Complexity of Co-Occurring Disorders: One + One = Seven

this 'mini-gap' workshop on co-occuring disorders will cover:
  • psychiatric disorders: symptoms, diagnosis and treatment needs
  • borderline personality disorder: identifying features and treatment approaches to the patient with substance abuse and borderline personality disorder
  • ethical issues in the treatment of co-occurring disorders
  • symptom management and group therapy for patients with co-occurring disorders
