this 'mini-gap' workshop on co-occuring disorders will cover:
- psychiatric disorders: symptoms, diagnosis and treatment needs
- borderline personality disorder: identifying features and treatment approaches to the patient with substance abuse and borderline personality disorder
- ethical issues in the treatment of co-occurring disorders
- symptom management and group therapy for patients with co-occurring disorders
- risk assessment and risk management in the treatment of patients with co-occurring disorders
